Same-Sex Marriage Dead in Arizona

Numbers show Arizona's Proposition 102 has passed -- same-sex marriage has now been constitutionally banned in the state. With final numbers yet to come, voters in the Grand Canyon state have clearly said no to same-sex marriage. Preliminary results show the measure has the backing of more than 56 percent of voters.

Just a week after a disturbing video of six teenagers beating up a former friend Victoria Lindsay began to circulate on the Internet, another violent teen video has surfaced. In Prescott, Arizona a fourteen-year-old girl was arrested after bashing a rival schoolmate unconscious with a folding chair. The incident was videotaped by a fellow student.

According to the Associated Press, Chris Carpenter said he is concerned about the church's outreach to gay members and 'the current state of church leadership.'

Arizona Councilman Puts Up $10K Reward for Leads in Alleged Hate Crime

A councilman in Paradise Valley, Ariz. is offering a $10,000 cash reward in an alleged hate crime reported by a gay couple who said several men attacked them outside a Scottsdale restaurant. Councilman Brian Cooney said he hopes the reward will urge witnesses to come forward with information about the Sunday beating of Jean Rolland, 28, and Andrew Frost, 19.

Arizona Votes Reject 'Gay Marriage' Ban
Tuesday's ballot count resulting in the defeat of Prop. 107 marks a significant day for Arizona's families. With 97 percent of precincts reporting, Prop. 107 was trailing by nearly three percent, which includes comfortable margins in the state's two largest communities, Phoenix and Tucson. The results elated campaign leaders, volunteers and supporters.
